I’m slowly realizing that the People tab in Flock is keeping me in touch with friends and (formerly) long lost acquaintances in a way that nothing else has previously. Not email, not the phone, not even Facebook as I didn’t really starting getting into FB until after I started using Flock.
If you haven’t tried it out, I highly recommend it. Go for the beta, it’s better and crashes only when you’re really nasty to it.

OK, enough with the 2.0. Somebody please post a list of every word in the dictionary followed by 2.0, and let’s be done with it.
I do appreciate that some are recognizing it even as they use it, though.

ahh, a post… my gosh, it’s about time. this will likely be the only thing I ever post (taking the opposite approach of my last post, which was sometime in ‘04, in which I claimed I would be posting a lot more often).
the big issue I’m struggling with is what to write about. i think i should be writing only about one thing. but, which thing? programming? music? or maybe just personal stuff. for now, i’m going just personal. if i end up doing other stuff, well that will just be super.
i had a fun time today going to the park in boston common with my daughter, Anna. walked her to the t bus (one of her favorite things to say btw ‘T BUS!’) then from ashmont to park. the dang train took so long to start that the whole “honey, we’re on a choo choo” thing wore off before we even got going. but she was a trooper and made it to park without freaking out.
couldn’t decide whether the guy who was there at 8:45 using the playground equipment to work out with was infuriating or sad. i guess that means it was a bit of both. the best part was when a little girl started imitating his workout and watching him from a distance of approx 4 inches. he didn’t budge and neither did she. two worlds coexisiting peacefully - i guess that’s a good lesson.
